Threads for hope family

Our passion is two-fold and came to fruition as a result of our parents' medical diagnoses. Our family has certainly weathered its fair share of storms, which is unfortunately all to common. It started with our dad's colon cancer, which was diagnosed when we were just kids. After undergoing an experimental chemotherapy, our dad was lucky to come out of it just fine. Then, came our mom's brain tumor diagnosis when we were teens. After surgery, radiation therapy and nearly 15 years of ongoing monitoring, the doctors have deemed that she is cured of her tumor. However, she will have to spend the rest of her life dealing with the aftermath of the procedures, which have impacted her speech, language and short-term memory. Then, in 2009, our dad was diagnosed with melanoma. We would later find out that it was a metastases of a previous melanoma that he had removed 13 years ago. He was such a fighter - undergoing a variety of brutal treatments that left him weak and depleted. One day he was responding well, the next would bring about a major setback. Always looking for the next promising option, he enrolled in a clinical trial that we all hoped would be his saving grace. But after returning home, he never fully recovered. In August 2011, we lost our father, our hero and our friend. A true inspiration - his hope and faith never ceased.

For us, its melanoma, colon cancer and brain tumors. For you, it might be breast cancer, autism, child abuse or diabetes. It doesn't matter where we live, how much money we have or how old we are, we all have a cause that has affected us on a personal level. As we stood by our dad during his courageous battle with cancer, we wanted a way to show our support for those that are fighting the same fight. We also wanted to make sure that we were giving something back to the organizations that are not only working to find cures, but also supporting the individuals and families that are struggling with the daily ups and downs.

We partner only with companies who produce their products in the USA. Our Threads for Hope designs are printed on American Apparel t-shirts. Our Cause tags are also hand-sewn onto each and every shirt. We care about how our products are produced and how that process impacts the world around us. We put great care and effort into personalizing each t-shirt based on the cause that is closest to your heart, which is why we ask you to allow 3-4 weeks to receive your t-shirt once your order has been placed. We'll never be the fastest, but we do strive to be the best! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us and the causes you believe in.
